Big Line: Largest in N.A. History - Will Pipelines Join? - Economist Says to 'Slow Down' On Instate Pipeline
Please Weigh In On Your OCS Position Before Next Monday's Deadline!
Oil Daily. The three major oil companies involved in two competing pipeline proposals to bring Alaska North Slope natural gas to markets in the US Lower 48 will end up joining forces because of the huge scale of the endeavor, according to the federal coordinator for the gas pipeline project. “It not like the molecules as they come out of the ground are red if they’re Exxon’s and green if they're BP’s,” said Larry Persily (NGP Photo), who was recently appointed to the position.
Infrastructurist. If constructed, a new Alaska gas pipeline would be the largest and most expensive private infrastructure project ever completed in North America. At a cost of up to $40 billion and stretching almost 2,000 miles, the line would stretch from the Arctic Ocean to Alberta and dramatically ease the transfer of natural gas to households in the U.S. and Canada.
ADN by David Reaume. Alaska's energy needs are too important to allow decisions to be made without careful consideration
of the alternatives. With that thought in mind, will everyone who cares please sit tight and wait until all of the alternatives are reasonably well understood before urging decision-makers to plunge ahead and build an in-state natural gas pipeline.
You Just Gotta Enjoy Houston's Breakfast Klub, Courtesy Of The Great Marcus Davis!
Talk about brilliant marketeer, amiable friend, charismatic leader, astute businessman, mentor to the young and true community organizer, celebrate with me our friend Marcus Davis' accomplishment ( - dh. P.S. My favorite is Green Eggs and Ham (NGP Photo-r, below):
Houston Chronicle Food and Cork Blog by Andy Olin. Patrons of the Breakfast Klub know they can expect plates of great Southern food and a line that spills out the door.... To the regulars' chagrin, the morning queue may be even longer after May 15. That's when Good Morning America Weekend will feature the popular Midtown restaurant as one of four finalists for Best Breakfast in America. The Breakfast Klub staff and owner Marcus Davis (NGP Photo with author) whipped their beloved Wings and Waffles for the GMA Weekend TV crew Tuesday
morning in hopes of winning the ABC morning show's best breakfast challenge. ... Davis says the eatery has two signature dishes: Catfish and Grits and Wings and Waffles (NGP Photo-l). Davis went with the combo of waffles dusted with powdered sugar and garnished with a strawberry paired with the fried
chicken wings. Of course waffle toppings may vary, Davis said. GMA Weekend anchor Marysol Castro and the staff enjoyed the meal, Davis said. Chronicle restaurant critic Alison Cook describes that formidable fried chicken thusly: " ... The crackly, salted-and-peppered chicken wings propped around the waffle's rim fulfill the same function as a good piece of bacon would. ...
Owner Marcus Davis told Walsh: "You can tell a lot about a person by how they eat their breakfast. ... It's a meal that encourages improvisation," he said. Walsh calls catfish and grits with poached eggs his favorite "Breakfast Klub improvisation." Segments on the contest finalists will be aired May 15 and judges will sample the dishes. Online voting will help determine the winner, which will be announced May 16. (NGP PHOTO-R, BY MARCUS DAVIS AT THE KLUB, WITH MY SON, TODD HARBOUR....)
